Part of the Remo Kid's Percussion Collection, the gathering drum is specifically designed for smaller hands without sacrificing quality and is easily approached by children of all ages. It is loosely based on ceremonial drums used in many cultures throughout the world; drums similar to this one are often used to call a village together for regular meetings or for special occasions. This drum can be played with hands, sticks, or the included mallets and can accommodate two or more players ar the same time. The unique molded "feet" lift the drum off the floor for greater resonance. The Acousticon™ shell is manufactured from recycled hardwood fibers and is unaffected by climatic changes; the Fiberskyn 3® head gives an outstanding authentic ethnic drum sound. Pretuned, with a low pitch (remember, since the drumhead is not tunable each instrument may have a slightly different pitch).
